The Paediatric Risk and Effectiveness Committee have approved the replacement of existing, locally produced paediatric IV monographs with national monographs from the Medusa Injectable Medicines Guide. (see below re: access from non-NHS pcs/devices) The monographs, which are updated regularly, have been prepared by the Medusa group in conjunction with the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists group (NPPG) and are in wide use in other areas of the NHS across the UK.

Access to a range of additional monographs that users may also wish to download can be obtained from the Injectable Medicines Guide Website which can be accessed at http://www.injguide.nhs.uk/
A log in is required for access from Non-NHS pcs and devices. This is available from Sharepoint.
The paediatric section of the website can be accessed by clicking on the ‘Paediatric IntraVENOUS drugs’ link on the left hand side of the homepage. A mobile version of the Injectable Medicines Guide is also available at that same website www.injguide.nhs.uk.
Monographs on the website are updated on a regular basis and it is the responsibility of the ward/clinical manager to ensure that any monographs printed directly from the site are up to date.
Please note: the information contained within each monograph is brand-specific and is relevant to the brands described in the monograph and may not be completely accurate for other brands.
